I cut this chinese dragon out of a piece of red construction paper with an exacto knife. It took me about 6 hours.
And yes, my hand was dead.
Note: I would like to point out to all of you lazy faces that
THIS IS PAPER!!
(some people don't take the time to read the comment and don't realize it really is just paper. And only the red parts. The white is just a background)
Your work is really extraordinary! And the line values and craftsmanship of this papercut in particular are out of this world. "As if drawn by the fairies, and carved by the elves," as the Chinese say...
I've posted the image on my new tumblr log—I hope you don't mind—with a link to your page here. I hope it might direct traffic to you!
The craftsmanship is exquisite, my only qualm is that it may have been a better option to flip the cutting so that the pencil lines do not show. Also, the scan is a little large- perhaps size it down so that all of it can be seen at once, then provide a second submission to show cutting detail? Just a suggestion.
-- It is hard to see the whole picture when you are inside the frame.
Yeah I agree that the scan is too large. A lot of my scans need to be fixed, I just haven't taken the time to go through all of them and do it. Thanks!

Let me know if you'd rather the image links to a different url than this one at deviantart, or if you'd rather I didn't post it at all.
Thanks for your dedication to your work; it truly shows.
